With the ongoing spread of COVID-19, lots of the mobile games industry’s biggest names have started offering all sorts of in-game rewards and events to their housebound players. The latest campaign to come along is actually a partnership with the World Health Organisation (WHO) itself, and it’s going by the name of #PlayApartTogether.
As reported by PocketGamer.biz, the campaign aims to spread awareness of the guidelines set in place to reduce the spread of the virus. That’s as good a goal as any, though what makes the campaign especially noteworthy are the planned in-game giveaways and events to keep us all entertained while indoors.
At the time of writing, 18 mobile game companies have hopped on board, including Kabam, Zynga, Jam City, Glu, Playtika, and many more.

And this extends to the world of PC and console gaming, too, with Riot and Activision Blizzard taking part. Streaming platform Twitch and YouTube Gaming have also joined the campaign.
The in-game gifts and events will obviously vary from game to game, so it’s worth checking the full list of publishers to see which games might be offering neat rewards in the days/weeks to come.
Publisher MY.GAMES previously announced its own #PlayAtHomeStandUnited campaign, which included titles like American Dad! Apocalypse Soon, Tacticool, Hustle Castle, Warface: Global Operations, War Robots, and more. You’ll find more info on that particular campaign over on MY.GAMES’ official site.
