The collaborative effort between publisher Activision and mobile titan Tencent has created a lot of excitement for Call of Duty Mobile amid the usual concerns of how well it would translate to touch screen devices. Now we can finally find out – Call of Duty Mobile is now available for iOS and Android.
The game will feature numerous maps from across the earlier Modern Warfare and Black Ops series’ – the Call of Duty games that I personally sunk the most time into. Nuketown, Firing Range and Hijacked so your map knowledge from back in the day will come in handy.
There are a number of different multiplayer modes you’ll be able to jump into including Frontline, Team Deathmatch and once you hit level five you’ll be able to play Domination and Search & Destroy.
As you’d expect from a Call of Duty game you’ll also be able to customise your loadout as you earn new guns, attachments and various scorestreaks. All the stuff you’ll be familiar with is available in the score such as UAV for getting that important enemy intel and Predator Missiles for hopefully bagging some multi-kills.
Once you hit level seven you’ll also be able to jump into a Battle Royale mode where you’ll fight for supremacy amongst 100 other players. Here you can also squad up with your buddies to try and be the last surviving team.
The game will also include a Zombies mode at some stage, though unfortunately, it’s not available at launch. It’s banner currently has a coming soon label over it. This is probably the mode I played the most as I’m generally quite bad at multiplayer so I’m excited for when it’s available in-game.
