Daemon x Machina Japanese Launch Trailer Looks Back on Mankind’s History with War

War never changes, even with Shoji Kawamori-designed mecha, Yusuke Kozaki designed characters. and Armored Core’s Kenichiro Tsukuda.

Nintendo published the Japanese launch trailer for Daemon x Machina. The upcoming customizable mecha action game has mecha designs by Macross‘ Shoji Kawamori, character designs by No More Heroes and Fire Emblem Awakening‘s Yusuke Kozaki, and is developed by a team with Armored Core producer Kenichiro Tsukuda at its head. The game’s cast is quite a treat too, as you’ll see in the trailer included below. We have legendary seiyuu such as Toru Furuya and Shuichi Ikeda (who voice characters referencing Amuro and Char).

Daemon x Machina’s launch trailer quotes famous historical leaders such as Gaius Julis Ceasar and Napoleon, and illustrates them with story cutscenes and action scenes. Most of it is out-of-context one-liners, the usual in Japanese games trailers.

Personally speaking, while I was particularly drooling about Daemon x Machina, seeing it has mecha, I used to be really looking forward to the game. “Used to be”, because of the game’s first demo kind of showered cold many of my expectations about the game. The demo was fun, but it just felt lacking in many different small areas, ending up making the experience lacking. However, tons of adjustments have been made since then, using players feedback. Marvelous published a new gameplay trailer as well showing all that, so hopefully, the final result will be a satisfying mecha game. Anyway, look forward to our review.

Daemon x Machina releases worldwide on September 13, exclusively on Nintendo Switch. The game was supposed to release in August but got delayed. You can preorder Daemon x Machina on Amazon if you’re interested.
