Nippon Ichi is currently upgrading Disgaea RPG’s quality and strengthening its servers.
Nippon Ichi Software announced with a statement that Disgaea RPG is scheduled to come back online in November 2019. In the statement, Nippon Ichi Software also detailed the schedule which will lead to Disgaea RPG‘s restart.
Disgaea RPG‘s development team is currently focusing on improving the game’s quality and the strength of its servers. This will continue until September.
In September, more details about when Disgaea RPG will come back online will be published on the official site. Multiple tests will be held in September and October, with the final adjustments made in October.
As such, Nippon Ichi Software is scheduling to bring back Disgaea RPG in November.
Makai Senki Disgaea RPG, to cite its full name, first launched in March 2019 on iOS and Android, but was taken down for maintenance because of bugs and server issues. The incident is the main cause of Nippon Ichi Software’s current financial crisis.
Nippon Ichi Software previously stated Disgaea RPG would come back in Fall 2019.
While it’s been a while since the last console Disgaea game, and we’ve only got ports recently, Nippon Ichi is currently releasing and experimenting with multiple new IPs. While you can easily see most are very-low budget low-risk ventures, in 2019 alone Nippon Ichi released many different IPs. There’s most notably:
Satsujin Tantei Jack the Ripper, a detective visual novel which launched in Japan on April 25, on PS4 and Switch. Satsujin Tantei Jack the Ripper wasn’t announced in the west.
Jinrui no Minasama e, a yuri-themed visual novel which launched in Japan on June 27, on PS4 and Switch. Jinrui no Mianasama e wasn’t announced in the west.
Destiny Connect Tick-Tock Travelers, an old school JRPG on PS4 and Switch. I’ve played the Japanese version and it’s a good game. It’ll launch on October 22 in America and October 25 in Europe.
