Nintendo Direct reveals the immediate arrival of Divinity: Original Sin II on the Switch eShop.
The critically acclaimed RPG Divinity: Original Sin II – Definitive Edition is now available on the Switch’s eShop. The release announcement was made during the Nintendo Direct, and its trailer is featured below.
One interesting detail here is that the game will allow you to share cloud-saves between Steam and Nintendo Switch. If you’ve already made a lot of progress on your Steam version of the game, it’ll be nice to move that data over to your Switch without too much of a hassle.
Divinity: Original Sin II features great turn-based combat mechanics. You’ll also have to deal with a number of environmental factors that will impact your approach to the battle, and the game won’t do much to hold your hand. If you like a fantasy setting and a decent challenge, this game might be the one for you.
The game is also notable for its well-conceived world and unique characters. One of my favorite characters of all time is Fane. He adds an interesting element to the game not just with his personality, but also with his gameplay mechanics. He’s a skeleton and a scholar, and he’s healed with poison and poisoned by healing.
Divinity: Original Sin II – Definitive Edition costs $49.99 on the Switch eShop. It is currently $26.99 on Steam. You can also play it on PS4 and Xbox One.
