Get one last look at what DOOM Eternal has in store before it arrives next week.
With a little over a week left until release, id Software and Bethesda Softworks today let loose the launch trailer for DOOM Eternal, and much like the previous trailers for the game that we have seen, the game continues to look awesome.
Assumedly the final trailer before release, this latest video for DOOM Eternal does a great job of showing some gameplay from the title to go along with some new story beats. Other than the DOOM Slayer himself, we also get some great looks at the various other characters that will be popping up in Eternal to go along with some of the various enemy types that you’ll do battle with.
That said, if you’re trying to go in completely dark on DOOM Eternal, you may want to skip out on watching this trailer. While there doesn’t seem to be anything inherently spoiled in the trailer, there are some rather large setpiece moments and potential boss fights that seem to be revealed in this video. It’s kind of strange to warn people of spoilers for a DOOM video game, of all things, but there’s your warning nonetheless.
It’s also worth noting that the entire trailer features the music from the score of DOOM Eternal, which is once again composed by Mick Gordon who put together the soundtrack for the previous entry in the series. In case you missed the most recent video for the game, Gordon got some help from various heavy metal singers around the world to aid in putting together specific songs for the game. If you haven’t seen that video showing the behind-the-scenes process of making the soundtrack, you should definitely check it out right here.
DOOM Eternal is set to launch on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Google Stadia on Friday, March 20. A version of the game on Nintendo Switch is also set to arrive at an undetermined date later this year. Stay tuned for more of our coverage of DOOM Eternal as we near launch.
