Falcom wants as many people as possible to play the Kiseki Series outside Japan.
Falcom and NIS America’s upcoming JRPG The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III will be launching exclusively on PS4 this October. During Anime Expo 2019, we sat down with Nihon Falcom’s President Toshihiro Kondo to talk about Trails of Cold Steel III‘s western release and the Trails/Kiseki Series in general.
In particular, we brought up how he mentioned during the Kiseki 15th Anniversary Stream on June 29 that the PS Vita Trails Evolution games might get ported to PS4. I asked Kondo-san if there’s a chance we could see these PS4 ports getting Western releases as well, assuming they really end up happening in Japan. Here is his answer:
“I can’t tell you much yet, but at Falcom, we obviously want our games to be played by as many people as possible. So if these ports end up releasing in Japan, we’ll definitely find a way for people outside Japan to enjoy them too.”
The “Trails Evolution” games are PS Vita released, fully voiced remakes, of the five Trails games released before the Trails of Cold Steel games. They go:
- The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky Evolution
- The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky SC Evolution
- The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky the 3rd Evolution
- The Legend of Heroes: Zero no Kiseki Evolution
- The Legend of Heroes: Ao no Kiseki Evolution
You will be able to check out our full interview when it goes live very soon. The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III will be launching on October 22 in North America and Europe, exclusively on PS4. A demo will be released prior to the game’s launch.
