Fortnite has been completely destroyed and relaunched. After a confusing and scary period involving a black hole and not much happening, we’ve finally landed in the brand new map and Fortnite Chapter 2 has begun, a brand new approach to the Fortnite we all love.
Fortnite Chapter 2 has a brand new map for you to explore and discover, and there is a lot to see. While much of it may seem familiar to any lapsed Fortnite players, a lot has changed here. Though, it is also pretty refreshing to see a map that looks so normal, as opposed to being ravaged over time by numerous in-game events.
Of course, this isn’t the first time we’ve looked at Fortnite. In our original review I said; “So, should you play it? Well, why not? Fortnite is already one of the most popular games in the world, and it undeniably has some fantastic moments mixed in with the variable pace of battle royale games. And what’s more, it’s free. You can jump in and play battle royale til your heart’s content. Not bad at all.”
We’ve covered Fortnite a whole bunch since it launched on iOS, Android, and Nintendo Switch, and we’ve written dozens of guides, features, and more. For all of that and more, just check our Ultimate Guide to Fortnite.
You may find that Fortnite is not available on the Google Play Store like it is the App Store, and there’s good reason for that. Epic have their own launcher you’ll need to download, and we’ve already had columns covering this very subject.
If you’re going to be buying the Season 1 Battle Pass for Fortnite Chapter 2, then you should definitely know what it comes with, and that’s all listed here, in the order of…
- Back bling
- Harvesting tools
- Emotes, emoticons, and sprays
- Loading screens
