God of War Art Director Makes His Own Version of Cuphead Characters

God of War meets Cuphead…kinda.

Since the original announcement of Studio MDHR’s Cuphead, everyone was blown away by it’s amazing 1930’s cartoon style. Upon release, the game was met with critical acclaim from both industry members and consumers alike.

As of yesterday, the art director for God of War Raf Grassetti took to Twitter with his personal versions of the two famous Cuphead villains King Dice and The Devil and it is rad.

His reasoning behind making them was due to him completing the game with his son. This isn’t the first time that Grassetti has done his own artistic take on video game characters. In the past, he has done numerous different Nintendo characters including, Samus Aran, Link, Bowser, and Fox McCloud. That is only a small sample of all his pieces. You can follow him on Twitter and Instagram to see his new art pieces as they come along.

Cuphead is currently available on Xbox One, Windows PC, Steam and most recently, the Nintendo Switch. We found Cuphead to be a perfection addition to the platform. Studio MDHR announced last year at the Xbox E3 Briefing The Delicious Last Course DLC for the game. The DLC was planned for a 2019 release at the time. The studio came out a few weeks ago stating that it will be pushed back to 2020 to give the team more time to finish without having to deal with crunch.

You can purchase a Cuphead digital download code for Nintendo Switch on Amazon for $19.99. You can also purchase the game on the Nintendo eShop, Xbox Store, Windows Store, and Steam.
