The Steam version and the PS4 version of Granblue Fantasy Versus will not share servers, Narmaya joins the PS4 Japanese version on March 3.
Cygames and Arc System Works announced Granblue Fantasy Versus will be launching on PC via Steam on March 13. Note that players on Steam won’t be able to fight against PS4 players of Granblue Fantasy Versus as the servers will be separate.
Cygames also published a trailer for Narmaya, the DLC character getting added to the Japanese PS4 version of Granblue Fantasy Versus on March 3 alongside Beelzebub (Chaos Bringer). All the DLC characters revealed so far, Beelzebub, Narmaya, Soriz (Coming in April), Djeeta (Coming in April), and a currently unrevealed character, are included in the game’s seasons pass. They can be bought separately too.
Narmaya being one of the first DLC characters makes sense as she is one of the most popular characters in Granblue. Her trailer is included below. Her cute online lobby SD avatar and the actions you can do with it were also shared:
Granblue Fantasy Versus first launched on February 6 in Japan exclusively on PlayStation 4. The game sold over 150,000 copies in two days. The PS4 version of Granblue Versus is releasing west on March 3. XSeed is handling the localization, which surprisingly includes an English dub. In the past, Cygames told DualShockers that ports aren’t ruled out, and seeing how the fighting game scene is currently organized, Granblue Fantasy Versus coming to Steam is nothing unusual. You can read our full interview with Cygames here.
The next character DLC trailer will be revealed on March 8. Granblue Fantasy Versus will also be at Evo 2020 at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Nevada from July 31 – August 2.
In related news, PS4 action RPG Granblue Fantasy Relink still has no release date but Cygames explained why, while showing us some awesome gameplay. We’ll hear more at the Granblue Fantasy 6th anniversary event in March. Meanwhile, I’m still waiting for Uma Musume news in a corner.
