Kakarot Screenshots Show Iconic Saiyan Saga Scenes

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot looks to be doing justice to some of the series’ most iconic fights in the game’s latest screenshots.

Bandai Namco has released some new screenshots showcasing some of the best scenes from the Saiyan Saga in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. The images show one of the earlier battles in the game between Goku, Piccolo, and Raditz, as well as the final string of fights in that arc between Goku, Nappa, Vegeta, and the rest of the Z Fighters. You can check all of the screenshots down below.

The first few images show Goku grabbing Raditz’s tail, which he then uses to restrain him so Piccolo can shoot off his Special Beam Cannon technique. We also see the moment where Goku dies in the series for the first time. Additionally, we get a bit of a deeper look at the battle on Earth against Nappa and Vegeta. There’s an absolutely gorgeous still of Vegeta’s iconic Galick Gun beam in action as well as Nappa’s Exploding Wave. Based on the images, all of these screenshots are likely taken directly from the boss battles players will take on in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will be the first single-player focused RPG in some time. With more core fighting games like Dragon Ball FighterZ and Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, hopefully, Kakarot can shake things up and keep the story we all know so well refreshing throughout. According to series creator Akira Toriyama himself, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will explore new stories never before told in the anime or manga. Additionally, the game will be semi-open world and contain seven vast areas for you to explore as Goku.

As of right now, Bandai Namco hasn’t given fans much on where the story of Kakarot will come to an end. We do know that, at the very least, it will go up to the Frieza Saga based on previously released trailersDragon Ball Z’s main star may be Goku, but there’s plenty of other moments where Vegeta, Gohan, Piccolo, Trunks, and more have iconic moments where Goku isn’t even involved.
