Please play Metal Gear Solid V if you haven’t yet.
Microsoft is preparing to bring a slate of new games to its Xbox Game Pass services on both console and PC before the end of the month and one of the titles just happens to be one of the best in recent years.
Of the new arrivals that are on their way, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is likely the standout game of the bunch. MGSV is set to arrive on the console version of Xbox Game Pass later this week on July 18. If you somehow haven’t played it before, I can’t recommend enough that you do so now. I still think it might be the best game of this console generation purely from a mechanical standpoint. It also gives you something to play while you wait on Kojima’s next game in Death Stranding later this year.
While Metal Gear Solid V is likely the most notable game of this bunch, there are plenty of others coming as well. Also coming later this week on Xbox Game Pass for PC on July 17 is Night Call while The Banner Saga 3 will come to both Game Pass on PC and console on the 18th.
Finally, next week on July 25, three games will all be dropping on the same day. Both For the King and Killer Instinct: Definitive Edition will be heading to Xbox Game Pass on PC and console. Lastly, Resident Evil 4 will be the final title arriving exclusively for console players.
All in all, Xbox Game Pass continues to be a pretty solid deal all around. The service currently retails for $9.99 a month on both console and PC or you can subscribe to both via Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for $14.99 a month.
