Several new behind-the-scenes production images from Netflix’s The Witcher series include Geralt in action, Ciri, Yennefer, and much more.
While it doesn’t have an official release date yet, the upcoming first season of Netflix’s The Witcher is easily among the most anticipated new TV series of the year, especially for fans of CD Projekt Red’s beloved games (despite not being a direct adaptation of them). With the series expected to arrive sometime later this year, Netflix has given a new look at the series with several new images.
Netflix has released eight new behind-the-scenes production images from The Witcher, giving an extensive look at several familiar faces and a few more intriguing, vauge images. Of course, the new batch of images features several looks at Geralt of Rivia, as played by Henry Cavill, including a combat shot and seeing him with his trusty steed, Roach. Alongside Geralt, we also have new looks at Ciri and Yennefer, as played by Freya Allen and Anya Chalotra, respectively. However, some of the most interesting new images of the bunch include what appears to be an epic battle scene a la Game of Thrones, while also giving us a vague look at one of the monsters that will make its way to the series.
Over the course of the year we’ve had several looks at Netflix’s adaptation of The Witcher, which is primarily based on the original series of novels by Andrzej Sapkowski. This includes several other production images that have shown other aspects of the series, while the first official trailer for The Witcher made its debut at San Diego Comic Con this summer. This marked the first official footage that we’ve seen from the series, and while there haven’t been any other clips shown yet from the show, we hopefully won’t have to wait too much longer to see what the show’s first season has in store.
The Witcher will debut its first season sometime later this year on Netflix. For a closer look at the upcoming series, you can check out the brand new behind-the-scenes images below:
