A new update for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 went live today and we’ve compiled some of the highlights from the 11 GB patch.
Last week, Treyarch began teasing a brand new update for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, which was not all that surprising considering we knew that the first half of the Apocalypse Z season was about to end. Now, the update is here and thanks to some patch notes we can go over some of the major highlights that are a part of the update.
Kicking things off as the biggest feature is easily Pandemic mode. The mode is a take on Infected and pits players with one objective “survive.” If any humans can make it to the end of the match, they’ll win, but no humans remain, the zombies win. It’s a pretty fun mode and I highly recommend it.
In addition, two new weapons were also added to the game: the M16 tactical rifle, which has become a Black Ops staple, and the Havelina AA50 sniper rifle. Of course, these weapons are only available in Reserve Crates, meaning they can’t be earned. To be fair, you can earn an Ultra Weapon Bribe in this season Contraband stream, although at 60 Tiers, it’s going to take a while (unless you throw down some cash).
On the Zombies side of things, not a ton has changed aside from the addition of the Ray Gun MKII in Aether story mystery boxes (Blood of the Dead, Classified, and Alpha Omega).
If you want to check out everything that the update has to offer, you can check out the full patches here.
Unfortunately, almost all of these features are only available for PS4 owners, with players on other platforms having to wait a week.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
