One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 from Bandai Namco Entertainment is currently in development for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
During the Play Anime! panel at Anime Expo today, Bandai Namco Entertainment and Omega Force announced One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. It has been almost four years since the last game in this One Piece musou series intially released, so One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 has been developed purely for next-gen consoles.
Bandai Namco promises that One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 will cover many of the stories and arcs from One Piece, specifically highlighting the Whole Cake Island arc. While this is in line with previous Pirate Warriors games, it is different than One Piece: World Seeker for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, which told a completely original story with One Piece’s world and characters.
One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 is poised to play like past entries in the series, with players fighting tons of enemies to complete objectives and eventually pull off powerful musou attacks that will devastate the enemy forces. Bandai Namco Entertainment America Brand Manager voiced their enthusiasm for the project, saying that “One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 is a great way for both new and long time-fans to jump into the One Piece world.”
Below, you can check out the first screenshots for this new musou game. One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 is currently in development for Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, and Xbox One and will release in 2020.
