Game Director Stig Asmussen talks about new features in the upcoming Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order is set to release later this year and after E3, we have an idea as to how the game is going to play. We received a video that included about 15 minutes worth of gameplay and saw an extended hands-off demo last month. So we have a basis as to the story and gameplay, but there are some features that we were unsure about being in the game. In an interview with Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order game director Stig Asmussen, Game Informer got some exclusive information regarding the upcoming Star Wars adventure.
From the interview, it has been learned that Fallen Order is looking into a photo mode for the game. This is arguably the most popular new feature that games have received this generation so those looking forward to the game will enjoy taking photos across different planets. The game will likely not have a New Game Plus mode because Asmussen is worried that it will unbalance the game by carrying over all your abilities. While this is sure to disappoint some players there will be difficulty settings for the game so there will still be reasons to replay through the game.
What the most surprising feature that Respawn is trying to achieve in Fallen Order is having no load screens throughout. Whether you are traveling to different planets or leaving cutscenes into gameplay. Final Fantasy XV achieved this, loading into the game but never having to deal with another load screen once you are out in the open world.
There is a lot more of information regarding Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order in this Gam Informer interview that you can read. The game is set to release on November 15 on Xbox One, PS4, and PC that you can pre-order on Amazon.
