Several Final Fantasy Games Are Crossing Over with Puzzle & Dragons Again

Final Fantasy’s fifth crossover with GungHo Online Entertainment’s Puzzle & Dragons is the biggest one yet.

The Final Fantasy series is no stranger to crossovers, especially when it comes to mobile games, so both Puzzle & Dragons and Final Fantasy players both probably will not be too surprised to hear that the franchises are crossing over for the fifth time. The collaboration not only adds a ton of new characters, but some interesting new dungeons to Puzzle & Dragons as well.

GungHo Online Entertainment has confirmed that this Puzzle & Dragons event, which began today, will go on until August 18. The sixth crossover is the biggest one for the game yet as it includes every character that has been a part of a crossover plus some new ones. It is not just one game either, as Final Fantasy, Final Fantasy II, Final Fantasy VI, Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy XII, Final Fantasy XIV, and Final Fantasy XV are all part of the crossover in some way, shape, or form. You can check out the rankings of all the crossover characters below:

  • 6 Stars: Aerith, Cloud, Sephiroth, Yuna, Cecil, Lightning, Tifa, Noctis, Balthier
  • 5 Stars: Thancred, Squall, Rinoa, Zidane, Tidus, Bartz, Terra, Shantotto, Vaan, Y’shtola, Onion Knight, Yda, Prompto
  • 4 Stars: Vivi, Ace, Aemo, Wol, Auron, Rain, Penelo, Reynn, Lann

When it comes to dungeon, “4 players or less” floors have been added to the returning ones. By completing these, players can gain Pixelit to change Final Fantasy characters to their pixel forms. Some bosses also are dropping medals exclusive to this collaboration. Finally, a gift dungeon available until August 11 will net players a Fat Chocobo; meanwhile, the Gift Dungeon available from August 12 through August 18 will net those who complete it a Moogle.

If you are a fan of either franchise, this Final Fantasy and Puzzle & Dragons crossover seems pretty lengthy and cool. Puzzle & Dragons is available now on iOS and Android.
