Crazy Oyster Games’s upcoming puzzler ShapeOnimoes looks to be a simple, smart, challenging little game which harkens back to the likes of Tangram and Pentomino. As you can see from the gameplay trailer below, each level has its own unique shape for you to fill in using the onimoes at your disposal.
Within every level are three sublevels that also need to be solved if you’re to progress. The sublevels feature their own domino types to use and master. It promises a fair challenge, though the early levels do a good job of easing you into the experience. At launch, there are set to be over 120 levels to work your way through – 360+ if you could the sublevels.
The developer also stresses that ShapeOnimoes isn’t just for hardcore puzzle game fans, with it featuring plenty of accessible content for children and adults of all skill levels. I appreciate that there’s no stress-inducing timers or move limits to deal with. Instead, the game aims to be a laidback experience, which is somewhat refreshing.
As it’s a premium game priced at $0.99, you won’t be bothered by ads or IAPs at all. There are no hidden payments; it’s a true one-off purchase. It’s also worth noting that the game is colourblind friendly and offers haptic feedback support.
If you like the sound of this one, you can now pre-order ShapeOnimoes over on the App Store. It’s also heading to Google Play in the near future.
