Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz on Wii is getting a remake on PS4, Switch and PC via Steam.
Sega Games announced via this week’s issue of Famitsu magazine a brand new entry in the Super Monkey series, Tabegoro! Super Monkey Ball.
Tabebogo! Super Monkey Ball will be launching on PS4 and Nintendo Switch on October 31 in Japan. The Steam version will be launching a bit later, on an undisclosed date. It’s very likely the Steam Japanese release of the game will also correspond to the western release of Tabegoro! Super Monkey Ball.
Tabegoro! Super Monkey Ball will retain the same gameplay of the Super Monkey Ball series, which basically means making your monkey ball roll to the goal as fast as you can. Lastly, Sega revealed that Tabegoro! Super Monkey Ball is actually a remake of the 2006 Wii released game Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz.
This week’s Famitsu will also include an interview with Super Monkey Ball creator Toshihiro Nagoshi, who is also known for the Yakuza series, and with Tabegoro! Super Monkey Ball Producer and Director Masao Kinosaki. The interview will be revealing more on the game. For now, a few screenshots were published by Famitsu and can be found in the gallery below.
Tabebogo! Super Monkey Ball was registered as a trademark by Sega in Japan back in May, and similar trademark registrations of Tabegoro! Super Monkey Ball, for PS4, PC and Switch, in Taiwan were reported. As such, many fans were expecting a new Super Monkey Ball to be announced soon, and here we are now.
