The Game Awards 2019 Date Announced by Geoff Keighley

Expect to tune in to The Game Awards this year on December 12.

As we begin to officially enter the fall gaming season, that means that Geoff Keighley’s annualized awards show, The Game Awards, is quickly approaching as well. Today, Keighley himself officially announced when this year’s edition of the event will be taking place.

The Game Awards 2019 is set to occur exactly three months from today on Thursday, December 12, 2019. The show will once again occur at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California, and tickets are available for purchase as of now if you’d like to personally attend. This will be the fifth anniversary of The Game Awards and Keighley says that there are plans in place to celebrate the occasion that he’ll unveil later on.

In addition to revealing the date of The Game Awards 2019 today, Keighley also posted a message on Twitter further discussing what he wants to showcase this year. Keighley says he plans to “turn the stage over” to developers this year that will share the project they’re working on. Of course, awards for each of the year’s best games will also be given out.

Even though I sometimes give Keighley grief, he really does do a fantastic job with The Game Awards each year. It has become an event that I look forward to quite a bit each year, and I’m really excited to see what might be in store for 2019.

Also, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is the current GOTY, and I’ll hear nothing else.
