Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us Part II, now minted with a release date, will come in five different editions, each with their own goodies.
If you’ve ever wanted to own Ellie’s “iconic backpack,” you might want to check out some of the different release editions for The Last of Us Part II. Game director Neil Druckmann detailed each of them in a PlayStation Blog post, which went up immediately after the newest release date announcement trailer from the latest State of Play. They’ll come in the Standard Edition, Special Edition, Digital Deluxe Edition, Collector’s Edition, and the Ellie Edition.
The Standard Edition will come with, uh, the game. Preordering that or any of the editions will score you the “Ammo Capacity Upgrade” and the “Crafting Training Manual.” The Special Edition comes with a 12” Ellie statue, a life-sized replica of Ellie’s bracelet, a custom SteelBook case, 48-page mini art book from Dark Horse, a set of six enamel pins, lithograph art print, and a set of five stickers. It will also come with a digital voucher for content that includes a PS4 dynamic theme, a set of six PSN avatars, a digital soundtrack, and a digital version of the mini art book.
The Ellie Edition comes with all of that along with a “fully functional recreation of Ellie’s backpack,” an embroidered patch, and a 7” vinyl record featuring music from the original soundtrack. The Special Edition has a custom SteelBook case for the game, along with all of the digital content mentioned previously, which the Digital Deluxe Edition also contains, but also with a PSN avatar featuring Ellie’s tattoo.
We don’t know how much each of these will cost just yet, but fans who have long anticipated this game can throw their money at any of these SKUs when The Last of Us Part II exclusively lands on PlayStation 4 on February 21, 2020.
