Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong was revealed today during PDXCoN 2019 and will make its debut a year after Bloodlines 2.
For fans of the RPG Vampire: The Masquerade, a new title in the ongoing tabletop RPG-based franchise was revealed. Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong, which will release in 2021, is being developed by Big Bad Wolf studio which also developed the The Council. The title was first teased during Bigben Week 2019 and received the official announcement during PDXCoN 2019.
The official synopsis is such:
In this narrative RPG adapted from the 5th edition of Vampire: The Masquerade, the player takes control of 3 vampires belonging to different clans of the Camarilla, the secret society to which most vampires belong. Weaving between their intertwined tales, the player has to confront the different points of view of his characters to unravel fact from fiction. With whispers of conspiracy, murder and power struggles, the player must protect his clan, discover the truth and above all enforce the Masquerade, the vampire law designed to conceal the existence of creatures of the night from humans.
Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, the most recent installment in the franchise, was delayed to release later in 2020. It was also earlier revealed that Bloodlines 2 won’t be crossing over with upcoming games set in the same universe, which means a connection with Swansong is pretty unlikely.
