There’s no word yet regarding a PS4 or Xbox release date.
The Vermintide 2 Twitter account has been teasing new details and enemies from the game’s upcoming expansion, “Winds of Magic.” Recently, they finally revealed a release date for this substantial expansion: August 13. You can even pre-order it now on Steam now for $19.99. Unfortunately, at this time, it seems that only PC will be receiving the expansion. PS4 and Xbox One users will have to wait a bit longer.

This expansion will feature a new level cap, a new enemy faction (the Beastmen), a new weapon type for each hero, and a new PVP mode. Perhaps the most interesting aspect of the expansion, however, is the new and titular game mode, “Winds of Magic.” In this mode, players will take on new objectives and deal with new, unpredictable map modifications. To access “Winds of Magic,” Vermintide 2’s hub–the Keep–has been expanded.
The Vermintide 2 twitter account has revealed a Beastmen monster, the Minotaur, and has now given us a closer look at a Beastmen infantry enemy–“Ungors.” Check them out below.
Ungors are smaller skirmishing enemies. They’ll come at you with both bows and spears, so be prepared with your arrows, bolts and bullets to take them down! ⚔️ Pre-order Winds of Magic for PC today: https://t.co/dPBFbBYGZY pic.twitter.com/KFLWWB8Jlq

Fat Shark has not revealed when “Winds of Magic” will arrive on PS4 and Xbox One. Vermintide 2 originally released for PC in March of 2018, but did not make its console debut until December 2018. Hopefully, console users will not have to wait eight months again. We’ll let you know as soon as we hear more.
