World of Tanks Blitz, Wargaming’s popular alternative to their other tank MMO, is getting a large number of updates in the form of several new tanks. These updates are available now.
The headline update is the addition of 5 Italian medium tanks. If you also play World of Tanks then you’ll know that a few Italian medium tanks have a different type of gun called an autoreloader. This is not to be confused with similarly named autoloader.
An autoloader – also commonly referred to as a drumloader by players – allows players to rapidly fire an entire magazine of rounds. Once the rounds have been depleted the player must wait a fairly lengthy amount of time for it to reload entirely. An autoreloader, on the other hand, has the same rapid-fire option but players can also interrupt the reloading process to shoot rather than having to wait until it’s completely refilled.
This advantage over an autoloader is balanced by increasing the time it takes to reload as the drum empties. They also have a smaller capacity than their autoloader counterparts so they don’t have the same potential DPM.
The list of Italian medium tanks that have been added to the game is as follows:
P.43 bis, Tier VI medium tank
P.43 ter, Tier VII medium tank
P.44 Pantera, Tier VIII medium tank (features an autoreloader)
Prototipo Standard B, Tier IX medium tank (features an autoreloader)
Progetto M40 mod. 65, Tier X medium tank (features an autoreloader)
A further five tanks have also been added to European tech tree for Sweden, Finland and Poland and feature the tanks listed below:
Finland – Vickers Mk.f, Tier I light tanks
Poland – 10TP, Tier II light tank
Poland – 14TP, Tier III light tank
Sweden – Lago, Tier IV Medium tank
Strv m/42, Tier V Medium tank
